About Cornbread


Sweet or savory...
Dry, bland cornbread ticks me off! Cornbread, in my opinion, should be either decidedly sweet or decidedly savory and spicy. For example, one of my favorites contains jalapenos and bacon fat.

Sweet cornbread is great as a dessert, especially when served with honey.

Bland, dry cornbread is only good for sopping up gravy or for food fights.
